Hey there, I'm Ria.
I'm a multimedia designer specialising in creating digital content to help people learn. My focus is in simplifying complex information and communicating it effectively and beautifully to an intended audience.
Prior to design, I've also been in copywriting, marketing and tv/event hosting. I am constantly teaching myself new skills and I always get excited about creating meaningful work.
I live in Melbourne, Australia.

On the side:
I started a personal passion project in 2018 called Curly Girls Philippines, the first online community that teaches Filipino women how to care for their naturally curly hair.
There is a cultural stigma and discrimination in the Philippines against textured hair, leaving many pinays growing up insecure, bullied and without any guidance. The community has guides, articles and tutorial videos to help members learn everything there is to know about curly hair care. It also serves as a safe environment for women to support one another, embrace their natural beauty and build up self-confidence.
My story with CGPH has been featured in local and international publications such as: Allure, Cosmopolitan Philippines, Female Network, SBS, ABS-CBN, GMA News, Rappler, Cebu Daily News, and Smart Parenting. As of this writing, the group has over 60,000 members with members as young as 10 and as old as 70+.

Random list of stuff I enjoy:
Philippine beaches and mangoes (they are the best in the world, I promise)
Salted caramel gelato
Watching live music with my husband
Nature walks
Traveling to a new place
Story-driven video games (God of War and Uncharted 4 are my favorites)
Learning and tinkering with new software
Melbourne coffee (also the best in the world)
